Mobile phones lead to a lot of accidents. A lot of people do their daily work, drive while taking on mobile phones. There is high risk of accident if you are talking on the mobile phone and driving as you are giving your half attention to the mobile call and are having half attention on the road.
There are many different levels of dangerous driving. This may vary from driving while under the influence to texting while driving. Some of these dangerous driving habits include speeding, driving too slow, eating while driving, failing to signal, using your cell phone. Dangerous driving habits can be seen on highways, on residential streets.
Driving Smart At any given moment of daylight, it is estimated that 660,000 Americans are using electronic devices while driving (Halsey). It has been determined that using a cell phone while driving has the same effect as the legal blood alcohol limit of .08 percent which creates a scary outcome (“Cell Phones and Driving”).
Cell Phones Can Be Dangerous. Driving can be very dangerous on its own without distractions but when you add driving while using a cell phone in the mix you have the perfect ingredients for a disaster. I believe cell phones are very dangerous while driving by using them for voice and especially texting and should be banned. Some reasons I believe this is when a driver is talking on the phone.
Everyone should be aware that accidents prevention is the main reason why there must be a strict law banning the use of cell phone while driving. Imagine that one day you get a phone call from somebody telling you that there was an accident, and that your child is dead because a person using their cell phone wasn't paying attention to the road.
Cell phone use by motorist is dangerous and can cause accidents resulting in deaths and injuries. Furthermore, Nations and states should take the lead in outlawing this dangerous act. Prohibition of Cell phone use by motorists globally is the solution.
